Interfraternity Council at the University of Idaho - Rebrand
Moscow, Idaho - January 2019
In January 2019, I initiated an award-winning rebrand for the IFC in order to develop a stronger brand image and a more cohesive advertising strategy.
The Interfraternity Council at the University of Idaho is the governing body for 17 of the University of Idaho’s fraternities.
Other than being a governing council, the Interfraternity Council (IFC) serves as a trade organization with the purpose of student advocacy. As President in 2019, I presided over roughly 800 undergraduate students spanning all disciplines within the university, respectively 9.5 percent of the undergraduate population in Moscow.
My Role: Designer, Strategy
LOGO DESIGN
For the IFC rebrand, I developed two separate logos. One is a stacked variation and then the main wordmark. The logo features a laurel wreathe which is commonly associated with Greek-letter organizations.
FONT AND COLOR CHOICE
The font and color choice is in line with the recent University of Idaho rebrand. I utilized the Lato Font Family, and the same colors that are included in the brand refresh done by Stolz Marketing. The color and font combination provides resonance with University of Idaho students, staff, faculty, and alumni—ultimately conveying the connection and partnership with UI.
